Exempted Goods and Services Under GST 2022

July 2017, the Government of India Set Up Criteria for Businesses and Individuals Which Have to Register Under GST Norms.

Previously, Businesses With an Annual Turnover of Up to Rs.20 Lakhs Did Not Need to Register for GST. 

For Northeastern or Hilly States the Amount Was Rs.10 Lakhs.

There Are 3 Types of Exemptions in GST:

Types of Exemption in GST 

Absolute: Exemptions Without Any Conditions Are Absolute Exemptions.

Conditional:  There is Certain Conditions Are Applicable.

Partial:  Unregistered Persons Supplying Goods Within States to a Registered Individual Can Enjoy Tax Exemption.

Exempted Goods Under GST

Here is a List of the GST Exempted Goods in India: 1- Fresh and Dry Vegetables. 2- Non-GST Goods Include Fish, Eggs, Fresh Milk, Etc. 3- Grapes, Melons, Ginger, Garlic, Unroasted Coffee Beans, Green Tea Leaves That Are Not Processed, and More.

4- Food Items That Are Not Put Into Branded Containers. 5- Unspun Jute Fibers, Raw Silk, Khadi Fiber, Etc. 6- Hearing Aid Manufacturing Parts, Chalks, Slates, Handloom, Etc.

Exempted Services Under GST

Here is a GST Exemption List of Services: 1- Agricultural Services Are GST-exempt Services. 2- Public Transportation Services, Auto-rickshaws, Metered Cabs, Metro, Etc. 3- Labor Supply for Farms.

Exempted Services Under GST

4- Goods Transportation Where the Charges Are Less Than Rs.1500.   5- Foreign Diplomatic and Government Services.
