Hurry Up! CA Foundation Exam Registration 2022 (Last Date 14th Aug)

CA Foundation Exam is an entrance test to join and study for a CA course. It was once the entrance test or level I exam for the course of chartered accountancy which later got changed to CPT, and by recent amendments is changed back to Foundation. Now, it is the First level or basic level of the Chartered accountancy course which is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in an online mode twice a year. A candidate has to register for CA Foundation Course by filling up the online registration form available on the ICAI website. After registration, candidates are required to study for a minimum of 4 months in order to be eligible to take the Foundation Exam. The registration will be valid only for 3 years and can be revalidated any number of times for a further 3 years period by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 300/- or as decided by the Council from time to time.

CA Foundation 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed Class 12 and completed four months of study period after CA registration to be able to appear for the Foundation examination. Registering for this course is the very first step you need to take after Class 12. The CA Foundation exam is held twice a year - in May and November. Students who have registered for the foundation course must also apply for the CA Foundation exam.

Candidates holding UG degrees can apply also. It is to be noted that UG/PG degree-holding candidates with Equivalent qualifications are exempt from the CA Foundation Exam and can directly enroll in Intermediate courses. Eligibility criteria for CA intermediate Registration are 55% for Commerce graduation or post-graduation and 60% for Non-commerce graduation or post-graduation.

CA Foundation Exam Form

CA Foundation Exam form is available on the official website (www.icaiexam.icai.org). The candidates have to submit the Exam Form online. The last date to register with the Board of studies for the November exam is August 14, 2022.

CA Foundation Registration Fees

CA Foundation Exam Fee for Indian Centres is Rs 1500, for Kathmandu (Nepal) Centre is Rs. 2200 & for  Overseas Centres (Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Muscat) it is $325.

CA Foundation Course 2022 Registration Procedure

Step 1. Go on the ICAI website and on the student’s tab go to the course registration column.

Step 2. Click on the registration form and then Click “New User”

Step 3. Fill in personal details like name, age, date of birth gender, Aadhar card no, email id and phone number, and password

Step 4. Once your basic details are verified through OTP verification, you are guided toward the next step.

Step 5. Your profile is created and now you are asked to fill in the pending details

Step 6. After filling in the details you are asked to make a payment, which is registration fees and online foundation brochures fees. You should also avail of the optional facility of the journal for a student for having updated news related to the CA Foundation syllabus. The total amount is around Rs. 9800 which doesn’t include examination fees.

Step 7. Once payment is made you get a PDF file mentioning your details and registration number

Step 8. You need to take a printout of this PDF file and paste the passport-size photograph and sign it, if not attached earlier online.

Step 9. Attach Documents along with the PDF  file and send it to the regional office center within 7 days of registration. You get a registration certificate within a month after the procedure.

Note- After getting registered for Foundation Course, students are also required to fill in a separate application form for appearing in Foundation Examination.

CA Foundation Exam Pattern 2022

CA Foundation is a partially subjective and a partially objective test. It comprises the following four papers two are subjective and two are objective types. Each paper is worth 100 marks for a total of 400 marks. The Board of Studies issues comprehensive study materials covering all four subjects.

Principles and Practice of Accounting. (100 Marks)

Business Law & Business Correspondence and Reporting (100 Marks) Section A: Business Law (60 Marks) Section B: Business Correspondence and Reporting (40 Marks)


Objective Papers 

Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics (100 Marks) Part I: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning (60 Marks) Part II: Statistics (40 Marks)

Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge (100 Marks) Part I: Business Economics (60 Marks) Part II: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)

(Negative marking of 0.25 marks. for choosing wrong options is there in objective papers.)

 

CA Foundation Passing Criteria

A candidate shall be declared to have passed the examination if he/she secures 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in aggregate of all the papers.

CA Foundation Exam 2022: Exam Schedule

The ICAI CA Examination will be conducted over 4 days. Paper 1 will take place on December 14, 2022, while papers 2, 3, and 4 will be held on December 16, 18, and 20, 2022.
